Our commitment to safe working conditions, responsible business practices, ethical conduct, and environmental stewardship throughout our supply chain.
Our Code of Conduct establishes comprehensive standards that promote safe working conditions and ensure business is conducted responsibly, ethically, and with respect for human rights and the environment. These standards align with internationally recognized frameworks including the Responsible Business Alliance guidelines.
At Naaz Nepal, we voluntarily adopt and implement these ethical standards across our operations and supply chain. We conduct due diligence through an effective management system and operate in full compliance with applicable laws, international standards, and industry best practices.

A. Labor Standards
We commit to respect the human rights of all workers and treat them with dignity, whether direct employees, temporary, migrant, student, contract workers, or suppliers.
1) Prohibition of Forced Labor
No forced, bonded, indentured, involuntary, or exploitative labor. All work is voluntary with freedom to leave employment. No recruitment fees charged to workers. Workers retain their identity documents.
2) Young Workers
No child labor under age 15 or compulsory education age. Workers under 18 do not perform hazardous work. Proper management of student workers with protection of rights and appropriate wage rates.
3) Working Hours
Maximum 60 hours per week including overtime, except emergencies. All overtime is voluntary. Workers receive at least one day off every seven days.
4) Wages and Benefits
Compliance with all wage laws including minimum wage and overtime. Equal pay for equal work. Overtime paid at premium rates. No wage deductions as discipline. Clear wage statements provided.
5) Non-Discrimination/Non-Harassment
Workplace free of harassment and unlawful discrimination. No harsh treatment, violence, or abuse. No discrimination based on race, color, age, gender, sexual orientation, disability, religion, or other protected characteristics.
6) Freedom of Association
Open communication between workers and management. Right to form and join trade unions, bargain collectively, and engage in peaceful assembly without fear of retaliation.
B. Health and Safety Standards
We minimize work-related injuries and illnesses, providing a safe and healthy working environment that enhances quality, production consistency, and worker well-being.
1) Occupational Health and Safety
Identify and mitigate exposure to hazards using Hierarchy of Controls. Provide appropriate protective equipment and education. Gender-responsive measures for pregnant and nursing mothers.
2) Emergency Preparedness
Emergency plans and response procedures including reporting, evacuation, training, and drills (at least annually). Fire detection and suppression equipment, clear egress, and recovery plans.
3) Occupational Injury and Illness
Systems to prevent, manage, track, and report injuries. Encourage worker reporting, provide medical treatment, investigate causes, and implement corrective actions.
4) Industrial Hygiene
Identify and control exposure to chemical, biological, and physical agents. Provide protective equipment. Systematic monitoring of worker health and working environments.
5) Physically Demanding Work
Identify and control hazards from manual handling, repetitive lifting, prolonged standing, and repetitive assembly tasks.
6) Machine Safeguarding
Safety evaluation of machinery. Physical guards, interlocks, and barriers properly maintained where injury hazards exist.
7) Sanitation, Food, and Housing
Clean toilet facilities, potable water, and sanitary food areas. Clean, safe dormitories with emergency egress, hot water, adequate lighting, ventilation, and secured personal storage.
8) Health and Safety Communication
Training and information in workers' language for all workplace hazards. Information clearly posted and accessible. Workers encouraged to raise concerns without retaliation.
C. Environmental Standards
Environmental responsibility is integral to our operations. We minimize adverse effects on the community, environment, and natural resources.
1) Environmental Permits and Reporting
Obtain and maintain all required environmental permits, approvals, and registrations. Follow operational and reporting requirements.
2) Pollution Prevention and Resource Conservation
Minimize emissions, discharges, and waste at source. Conserve natural resources including water, fossil fuels, minerals through process modification, recycling, and other means.
3) Hazardous Substances
Identify, label, and safely manage chemicals, waste, and hazardous materials. Track and document hazardous waste data.
4) Solid Waste
Systematic approach to identify, manage, reduce, and responsibly dispose of or recycle non-hazardous waste. Track and document waste data.
5) Air Emissions
Characterize, monitor, control, and treat air emissions before discharge. Manage ozone-depleting substances per Montreal Protocol. Routine monitoring of control systems.
6) Materials Restrictions
Adhere to laws and customer requirements on substance prohibitions and restrictions in products, including recycling and disposal labeling.
7) Water Management
Document and monitor water sources, use, and discharge. Conserve water and control contamination. Characterize, monitor, and treat wastewater before discharge.
8) Energy and Greenhouse Gas Emissions
Establish and report greenhouse gas reduction goals. Track and publicly report energy consumption and Scopes 1, 2, and 3 emissions. Improve energy efficiency.
D. Ethics Standards
We uphold the highest standards of ethics in all business interactions to meet social responsibilities and achieve marketplace success.
1) Business Integrity
Highest standards of integrity in all business interactions. Zero-tolerance policy for bribery, corruption, extortion, and embezzlement.
2) No Improper Advantage
No bribes or improper advantages promised, offered, or accepted. Monitoring and enforcement procedures ensure anti-corruption compliance.
3) Disclosure of Information
Transparent business dealings accurately reflected in records. Disclosure of labor, health, safety, environmental, and business information per regulations. No falsification.
4) Intellectual Property
Respect intellectual property rights. Protect technology transfer, customer, and supplier information.
5) Fair Business, Advertising and Competition
Uphold standards of fair business practices, honest advertising, and fair competition.
6) Protection of Identity and Non-Retaliation
Maintain confidentiality and protection of whistleblowers. Communicated process for raising concerns without fear of retaliation.
7) Responsible Sourcing of Minerals
Due diligence on source and chain of custody of conflict minerals (tantalum, tin, tungsten, gold, cobalt) consistent with OECD Guidance.
8) Privacy
Protect privacy expectations of personal information. Comply with privacy and information security laws when collecting, storing, and sharing data.
E. Management Systems
We maintain a management system designed to ensure compliance with laws, conformance with this Code, and continual improvement.
1) Company Commitment
Policy statements on human rights, health, safety, environment, and ethics endorsed by executive management and communicated to workers.
2) Management Accountability
Senior executives responsible for implementation. Regular management reviews of system status.
3) Legal Requirements
Process to identify, monitor, and understand applicable laws, regulations, and customer requirements.
4) Risk Management
Identify and assess compliance, environmental, health, safety, labor, and ethics risks. Implement controls for identified risks.
5) Improvement Objectives
Written performance objectives, targets, and implementation plans with periodic assessment.
6) Training
Programs to train managers and workers on policies, procedures, objectives, and legal requirements.
7) Communication
Clear communication of policies, practices, expectations, and performance to workers, suppliers, and customers.
8) Worker Engagement
Two-way communication with workers and stakeholders. Safe grievance mechanisms without fear of retaliation.
9) Audits and Assessments
Periodic self-evaluations to ensure conformity to legal requirements, Code content, and customer requirements.
10) Corrective Action
Timely correction of deficiencies identified by assessments, inspections, investigations, and reviews.
11) Documentation
Create and maintain documents and records for regulatory compliance with appropriate confidentiality.
12) Supplier Responsibility
Communicate Code requirements to suppliers and monitor their compliance to the Code.
